Dec 14 is Roser Church’s Bethlehem Walk

Anna Maria Islands Roser Memorial Community Church is hosting their Bethlehem Walk on December 14^th.

Bethlehem Walk is a night of mystery and joy and it really puts the Christmas holiday in perspective by re-enacting the night Christ was born!

Dozens of people dressed as if they were in Bethlehem 2000 years ago and many youngsters dressed as angels, some with halos draw a large crowd with their llamas, sheep, goats and a donkey! The group sings Christmas Carols as they walk and then returns to the church for a narration of the story of the first Christmas and for cookies and hot chocolate.

Nobody knows exactly how many years the church has been hosting the Bethlehem Walk, but as the memory of that first celebration has slipped away with time, the story lives on for adults and children alike to experience in the streets of Anna Maria.

Roser Church sponsors many annual events such as an EASTER EGG HUNT, a Children’s Tent at the BAYFEST STREET FESTIVAL, and participation in the PRIVATEER CHRISTMAS PARADE which help to educate the community.
