Sandbar Easter Egg Hunt

Location: 100 Spring Ave., Anna Maria

Sandbar Restaurant’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt is a hit among local and visiting children alike.

One of the long-running Easter events on the island, the Sandbar Easter Egg Hunt is celebrating its 32nd year. Help the kids scour the wedding and event pavilion for brightly colored chocolate eggs and other treats while you enjoy complimentary refreshments provided by the restaurant.

The Sandbar Easter Egg Hunt takes place on Saturday March 31 at 9 a.m. Parking available at the restaurant, city hall, and a few other nearby businesses. Visitors are encouraged to ride the free island trolley to the event, as traffic can be congested on holiday weekends.

Pine Avenue Easter Bunny Parade

Location: 100 Spring Ave., Anna Maria

Leaving directly from the Sandbar Easter Egg Hunt, the Easter Bunny leads a procession of children – many of them sporting their best bonnets.

Follow your pink-and-white, floppy-eared friend up Pine Avenue for the 9th annual Easter Egg Roll. This event will feature egg rolling and coloring, face painting, pictures with the Easter Bunny, and refreshments.

But the fun doesn’t stop there. The Easter Bonnet Contest will award first, second, and third prizes to kids and adults with the wildest, craziest hats. Entries typically include floppy, tall, floral, ribboned, and colorful hats and bonnets.

The Easter Bunny Parade takes place on March 31.
