Come see a pirate ship, secret garden, maze, tree fort and slide, fairy gardens, three little pigs’ house and dress-up room! Walk down a yellow brick road, through a tunnel, and follow the path to fun! This enchanting 2 acre garden is located just north of downtown Sarasota. The “Caterpillar Cottage” hosts special events and birthday parties. It has a “Snow White” theme with twinkling lights and is sure to put a smile on every child’s face. Choose an interactive theme for your party- “Fairy Tea”, “Pirate Party”, and “Can You Dig It” are just a few of the many you can choose from.

The Children’s Garden was voted 1st place winner for “Sarasota’s #1 Place For Having Your Child’s Birthday/ Celebration”.

The Children’s Garden was created by Joan Marie Condon in 2003 and became a non-profit in 2009. The organization holds yearly fundraisers for “All Faith’s Food Bank”, the “Humane Society of Sarasota”, and “Make-A-Wish Foundation”. If you would like to donate your time, volunteers are needed for watering, weeding, planting, light maintenance, and events. Help is also needed sewing and laundering costumes in the costume room.

Weekly art, gardening, and nature classes are taught at The Children’s Garden. The “Art Rocks” class, “Can You Dig It”class, and “Magic Nature Box” class are all meant to connect children to nature. Visit the events calendar for schedule and information: http://www.sarasotachildrensgarden.com/calendar.html
