The "Nathan Fulford House, Historic Home," is the first house built in The Historic Cortez Fishing Village in 1887, making it the oldest. The house features three bedrooms, one bath, a sleeping loft with balcony views, large living room, office space, kitchen, and a wrap-around front porch. It has recently been updated to include central air conditioning. an absolute must in Florida.
It is less than one block's walk to the bay and a public dock; it is less than one mile from the beautiful beaches of Anna Maria Island. There are four water-front restaurants, bars, and shops all within walking distance in Cortez. Cortez is the last still operative fishing villages in Florida, and this house has been featured in The Historical Walking Tour as well as Ben Greene's novel, The Finest Kind.
The main bathroom is located INSIDE the master bedroom on the bottom floor and is shared with other guests.
Parking is limited to three vehicles; all vehicles will use the half-moon shaped road. There is a guest who lives in a separate unit upstairs.
