The History

This spot has a lot of history behind it. Sisters Ginny and Jane decided they wanted to open a place that showcased both of their talents. One sister loved antiques, the other loved baking and cooking. But, they needed to find the right location to house all the antiques and to host a kitchen to bake and cook in. The pair came upon the Old IGA Store, which had been run by war hero Ernie Cagnina for nearly 50 years. Ernie was part of the Army force that invaded Normandy on D-Day, and later became the mayor of Anna Maria Island. Ernie passed away in 1994 but his legacy lives on through the Old IGA Store.
